Candied Ginger and Toasted Walnut Greens

Serves 4

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz. dark leafy greens, chopped to bite-size pieces, including the stem
  • 6 tsp garlic
  • 3/4 cup chopped toasted walnuts
  • toasted sesame oil
  • 5 Tbsp coconut aminos
  • 5 Tbsp water
  • 1/2 cup sliced shallots
  • 1/3 cup diced candied ginger

Directions:

  1. Sauté on medium high shallots in sesame seed oil until translucent. Add garlic and cook until browned. 
  2. Lower heat to medium and add candied ginger, coconut aminos and water to pan. Cook for 10 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile steam fresh or frozen dark leafy greens for 12 minutes.
  4. Mix add ginger mixture to greens and top with toasted walnuts.
