About Me

Ellee Spier has a degree in biology, with a focus in human and natural ecology, from Emory University. In 2017-2019, she designed, installed, and managed multiple garden and landscaping projects at Childs Elementary School, including a rain garden, a vermicomposting system, a rain water collection system, a garden club, a seed lab, and a garden-to-classroom cooking experience. In 2018, she spent time at the Occidental, CA, Arts and Ecology Center learning to design/integrate gardening into curricula. In 2019, she completed a Permaculture Certification course through Sheltering Hills Design. She has also taken multiple Master Gardener and Purdue Extension Gardening Courses.

Currently, she is earning certifications in organic orchard tree management and developing her prowess within the field of bokashi fermentation of food waste.
