Buzz Button Salsa Verde

Makes 1.5 cups

Ingredients:

  • 12 oz tomatillos, chopped
  • 3-5 oz garden sorrel leaves, minced
  • 3/4 cup leek, chopped small
  • 1 TBSP olive oil
  • 1 TBSP lemon juice
  • 3/8 salt
  • 10 buzz buttons or 3/4 tsp sugar rush red hot pepper spice

Directions:

  1. Sauté leeks in olive oil until translucent.
  2. Mix tomatillos, sorrel, olive oil, lemon juice, and salt with the sautéed leeks.
  3. Mix in hot pepper spice. OR mince the buzz buttons and sprinkle on top of the finished salsa.
