
Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 2 large garlic cloves or one bunch of chives, minced
- ⅔ cup pine nuts, walnuts or pecans
- 2 cups of basil, borage, or sorrel leaves, no stems OR 4 cups of a dark, leafy green and stems, chopped steamed
- ⅓ cup extra-virgin olive oil
- ¼ teaspoon coarse salt
- ½ cup grated Parmigiano Reggiano cheese (optional)
Directions:
- Sauté garlic on medium low until softened, 5-7 minutes.
- Place garlic, nuts, & leaves into a food processor and process until pureed. Add olive oil and salt and process until creamy.
- Stir in the parmesan cheese (optional).
